As a sports lover, I’ve had more than my fair share of injuries. When you pull a muscle, you know it. You don’t know what it is there and then, but you know that something isn’t right. So when I started to lose control over my thoughts and feelings in 2016, I knew that something wasn’t right. I tried to treat it like any of my sports injuries. Find out what it was and treat it. Through some great professional assistance, and support from family and friends, I navigated out of this patch of anxiety. Then on Tuesday 24 March 2020, I had the honour of becoming a father to my beautiful daughter, Frankie. It was when I stepped into the world of parenthood that I truly realised how important real and honest talk is for your mental health.
