Research Project – Mental Health Literacy for Young Aboriginal Men

In 2023, Mens Talk, in collaboration with Wadjak Northside Aboriginal Community Centre and Curtin University, embarked on a significant research project aimed at enhancing mental health literacy among young Aboriginal men. Funded by a $100,000 Healthway Research Grant, this initiative focuses on young Aboriginal males aged 14 to 24, incorporating guidance from Elder mentors. The project is unique in its approach of co-designing with the participants and Curtin researchers, ensuring that the resulting mental health literacy resources are tailored specifically for this group.
